When we were finished exploring the area, Sergio helped us hail a cab for the vert reasonable $4/pp ride back to the terminal.A 5-minute taxi ride from the Costa Maya cruise port, Yaya Beach is located on the Malecon, near the hotel area in Mahahual. I would highly recommend this location for anyone looking for a relaxing, well serviced beach getaway for the day at Costa Maya. The cute little dog that hangs around ate our leftover chicken. Our food platter as part of our deluxe package had home made nachos, salsa, and some yummy chicken quesadillas with a couple lovely sauce choices to go with them. We did buy a few things, however, so we appreciated their presence. Like others say, there are quite a bit of beach vendors trying to sell their products, but a polite "no thanks" is all that's needed if you don't want anything. There are literally constant vendors lined up selling their goods, drinks, food, services, etc. Between the beach and the tiki bar is the main "tourism row" that stretches the entire length of the tourist zone. They had some add ons directly available which we didn't partake in. ![]() We spent awhile in the beautiful clear water to cool off and people watch ) ![]() Sergio showed us to our day bed and beach recliner. When we arrived from a cab from the Allure of the Seas, the check in process was seamless. He checked in often, but was not overbearing about it.
